Description
Understorey tree up to 13 m tall and 12 cm dbh. Stipules absent. Leaves
alternate, simple, penni-veined, glabrous, margin entire to toothed. Flowers ca.
6 mm diameter, white-yellow, placed in short racemes. Fruits ca. 24 mm long,
white-yellow, drupes.
Ecology
In undisturbed mixed dipterocarp, keranga and sub-montane forests up to 1300
m altitude. Often near or along rivers and streams. On clay to sandy soils. In
secondary forests usually present as a pre-disturbance remnant.
Distribution
Borneo (Sarawak, Brunei, Sabah, East-Kalimantan).
