Glochidion kunstlerianum Gage, Rec. Bot. Surv. India 9 (1922)

Named after H.H. Kunstler [? - ?], a German plant collector.

Description
Shrub up to 9 m tall. Stipules small. Leaves alternate, simple, penni-veined, glabrous to hairy below. Flowers small, white-yellowish, placed in axillary bundles. Fruits ca. 6 mm long, pinkish, dehiscent capsules, seeds with orange arils.

Ecology
In disturbed forest sites, also in coastal vegetations up to 900 m altitude. On sandy soils.

Distribution
Sumatra, Borneo (Sabah, East-Kalimantan).
