Description
Small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with stout rooting stems that run along the ground and then become erect, somewhat tapering and deeply grooved when dry and carry 11 to 13, linear to oblong, stiffly spreading leaves that are found on the apical portion of the stem, all blooming in the late spring on, often many more than one, very short, single flowered inflorescence.

Ecology
Found in lowland forests near streams in the tops of tall trees at elevations up to 200 meters.
