Latin for 'richly flowering'.

Sub-canopy tree up to 26 m tall and 29 cm dbh. Stipules absent. Leaves opposite, simple, penni-veined, tertiary venation faint, glabrous. Flowers ca. 2 mm diameter, white, placed in axillary bundles. Fruits ca. 12 mm long, blue, berries.

In undisturbed mixed dipterocarp forests up to 200 m altitude. On sandy soils. In secondary forests usually present as a pre-disturbance remnant tree.

Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo (Sarawak, Brunei, East-Kalimantan).
