Latin for 'glabrous'.
Description
Understorey tree up to 17 m tall and 50 cm dbh. Stipules absent. Leaves
alternate to opposite, simple, penni-veined, glabrous. Flowers not seen. Fruits
ca. 33 mm long, rusty brown, fleshy drupes.
Ecology
In undisturbed mixed dipterocarp forests up to 600 m altitude. Often along
rivers. In secondary forests usually present as a pre-disturbance remnant tree.
Distribution
Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo (Sarawak, Sabah, Central- and
East-Kalimantan).
