Madhuca pallida (Burck) Baehni, Boissiera 11 (1965)

Latin for 'pale', referring to the leaf colour.

Description
Sub-canopy tree up to 28 m tall and 39 cm dbh. Stem with white sap. Stipules ca. 6 mm long. Leaves in whorls or dense clusters, simple, penni-veined, glabrous. Flowers ca. 9 mm diameter, green-yellow, placed in axillary bundles. Fruits ca. 10 mm long, green-brown, drupes.

Ecology
In undisturbed mixed dipterocarp forests up to 200 m altitude. Usually on sandy ridges. In secondary forests usually present as a pre-disturbance remnant.

Uses
Apparently the latex is used.

Sumatra, Borneo (Sarawak, Brunei, Sabah, East-Kalimantan).
