Species name meaning 'velvetly hairy'.
Tree with opposite leaves and long stipules between each opposite leaf pair. Most vegetative parts covered
by short velvet hairs. Leafs elongate with many secondary veins. Fruits rather large (up to ca. 3 cm diameter),
beaked and green to yellowish coloured berries filled wit many small seeds in orange pulp.
In undisturbed to slightly disturbed forests up to at least 1000 m elevation.
