Description
A miniature to small sized, monopodial epiphyte, lithophyte or terrestrial in grasslands and scrub with stout stems carrying oblong, glossy, coriaceous, tough, shortly and unevenly bilobed apically leaves and blooms in the summer on an axillary, erect, terete, 15 to 40 cm long, racemose inflorescence with shortly triangular, acute, concave floral bracts.

Ecology
Growing on coral rocks, strand vegetation, secondary forests and mixed dipterocarp forests at elevations of sea-level to 800 meters.
